It has been a while since I entered any challenges so I decided that this week would be the start of doing this again & I happened on this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I have them on my favourites & do keep an eye on what is happening but just haven't got around to joining in the fun. But here I am today.
This is the sketch;
& here is my card;
Currently one of my favourite stamping techniques is Triple Time Stamping & I have adapted it a little here to fit the sketch.
The stamp is one of a set from a freebie on a magazine. To stamp like this you place the 2 pieces of neutral card on top of each other in the desired layout holding them together with repositionable adhesive. Next you stamp your image(s) making sure you stamp across both pieces - I stamped mine in burgundy pigment ink then embossed with clear EP. When you separate the 2 pieces there will be a slight halo due to stamping on different heights of card. Next you layer the 2 pieces onto contrasting card leaving a narrow border around the design & place them back in their original position matching the design It is especially effective over 3 layers - I will show one of my 3-layer cards in my next post.
For this challenge card I added the Happy Birthday sentiment on the smaller part of the image, plus some gems for a little bling & the ribbon down the side.
This will now go in my box of completed cards & await an insert when I decide who I am sending it to.
Thank you for stopping by I hope you enjoyed your visit. Why not pop over to the challenge site & see how others interpreted the sketch. Just click on their name at the start of this post.
Have a lovely day.
